9th Annual Enchanted Forest!  Meet the animals at Mud Lake, recieve your goody bag and enjoy the music and the festivities.  Plan to have dinner at the campfire!

The Carousel of Happiness board is pleased to announce that we have received an Addison mini-grant through the Boulder County Arts Alliance and the Addison family... the grant is for $500 that will finance a community art effort known as the "Carousel Fairy Project." Over 45 local people of all ages have expressed interest in making fairies for the project which, upon completion, will be up for adoption at $200 a piece to help complete the carousel building. The fairies will be placed strategically throughout the carousel building...

A regular schedule of Fairy Workshops will shortly be announced now that we have the funding to go forward with this project. Much gratitude to the Addison family and the BCAA!

Day 1 of the CC painting party was a great success - the CC West Wing got fully scraped, prepped and primed, and the volunteers had a lot of laughs!  Come be a part of the fun on Day 2 - Saturday August 15th - when we actually paint the building!  Again, we start at 10:00 and refreshments will be provided.  Interested?  Contact Kristen Edwards at 303.258.0520 or kristen311@gmail.com

We will be having the Miners' Days Volunteer meeting this  Thursday at 6 pm AT THE BALL FIELD.  We will be serving pizza,  signing up and scheduling volunteers and doing a rundown of the event.

Miners' Days is an annual event in Nederland, offering competitions in skills of the old mining days, with fierce contests of skill and strength in Spike Driving, Bow Sawing, Mucking, Single and Double Jack, and Individual and Team Jack Leg. During the displays of human strength, vendors will be selling food, and crafts. Special childrens' activities make this an event for all ages. Throughout the weekend, the Mining Museum will be open for education, fun, and excitement.

Community Center Painting Party!  The Nederland Community Center Foundation Board is looking for a few good volunteers who have a couple of hours to spare on Saturday, August 8th!  Volunteers will help paint the outside of the Community Center’s West Wing to match the main building.  Come spend a morning outdoors improving your community!  The fun starts at 10 am and refreshments will be provided.
